October 16, 2012 at 1:08 pm

The House Majority PAC, a super PAC dedicated to electing House Democrats, released a new ad Tuesday hitting Rep. Allen West (R-FL) for his opposition to embryonic stem cell research.

The spot, which marks the group’s firth ad targeting West, will run in West Palm Beach for a week as a part of the Dem PAC’s $1.5 million TV expenditure in FL-18.

The 60-second ad features actors playing a soldier, a mom and a young girl, all of whom discuss how they will become sick or injured in the future.  “Embryonic stem cell research could save lives, maybe yours or your families or someone you love, only Congressman West says no,” the actor playing the solider says.

The young girl, who says she will be diagnosed with diabetes “next week” asks, “How come he gets to decide who lives and who dies? Who is he?”

On Thursday, the House Majority PAC will hold a press conference to denounce West’s stem cell opposition and unveil another spot focusing on the topic.
