As the presidential candidates prepare for tonight’s face-off, their supporters are preparing to root on their respective candidates from afar with debate-watch events throughout the state.

The Obama campaign is using Wednesday’s event as an opportunity to engage supporters and recruit volunteers, hosting more than 4,000 debate watch parties across 50 states.

The Romney campaign, meanwhile, is holding 336 debate watch parties across 12 states. There will be 30 Romney events held in Florida this evening, many at BBQ joints and sports bars. Among other delights, Romney fans can enjoy hand-rubbed beef brisket, Corona beer-battered fish, and Outback’s famous, deep-fried Bloomin’ Onion as the verbal jousting unfolds.

The Obama events across Florida will take place at local campaign offices, college campuses, and restaurants equipped with large televisions. Parties registered with the Obama campaign will also get livestream access to exclusive post-debate reaction from Vice President Biden.
