Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to speak at a community event Saturday in Fort Myers.

The event at Wa-Ke Hatchee Park Recreation Center at 16760 Bass Road is open to the public. Doors to the ticketed event open at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

One ticket per person will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, campaign officials said Monday night.

To pick up a ticket, go to one of these locations beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday and continuing at 8 a.m. Thursday:

■ South Fort Myers Obama campaign office at 8750 Gladiolus Drive #1.

■ Downtown Fort Myers Obama campaign office at 1716 Fowler St.

■ Lehigh Acres Obama campaign office at 411 Lee Blvd Suite #2.

■ Cape Coral Obama campaign office at 3108 Del Prado Blvd South #6.

No information was immediately released on the number of tickets available or the theme of his speech.
