Romney Kicks Off Florida Swing

Kicking off his two-day swing through Florida, Mitt Romney is set to attend a Univison “Meet the Candidates” forum at the University of Miami Wednesday afternoon. Following the forum, Romney will hold a “Juntos Con Romney” rally at the Darwin Fuchs Pavilion in Miami.
Romney will be in Sarasota Thursday, appearing at what organizers are calling a “grassroots rally” at the Ringling Museum.
His swing through Florida, which will also include four fundraising stops, comes as the controversy over his comments about lower-income Americans continues to grow. In the now-infamous video, Romney is heard disparaging 47 percent Americans as government-dependent “victims.”
The pro-Obama Super PAC, Priorities USA, on Wednesday went up with a new spot in Florida using clips from Romney’s May fundraiser where he made the remarks.
Over a photo of a mansion, the narrator in the ad says that,”Behind these doors Mitt Romney calls half the American people” victims.
The 30-second ad ends with the narrator saying, “Mitt Romney will never convince us he’s on our side.”
The ad is running in Florida and four other swing-states.
