Women For Mitt Bus Tour Hits South Florida

September 17, 2012 at 9:34 am

Women for Mitt will kick-off a “Stronger Middle Class” Bus Tour of South Florida Monday, stopping for events at women owned businesses in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Boca Raton.   The tour will feature Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Rep. Sandy Adams (R-FL), RNC co-chair Sharon Day, and former Lt. Governor Kerry Healey, who served with Governor Romney during his time as governor of Massachusetts.

Polls show President Obama leading Romney by solid margins among women, both nationally and in Florida. The Romney campaign recently started advertising on cable television networks that cater more to female viewers as he looks to narrow Obama’s advantage with women.

As part of his effort to show a more personable side to female voters, Romney is also doing more soft-focus, personal interviews. On Friday, he taped an interview for ABC’s “Live! With Kelly and Michael,” where he talked about everything from what he wears to bed to Snooki’s weight.

The candidate is also increasingly deploying his wife, Ann Romney, to Florida and other swing-states. Ann Romney targeted women voters last week in Largo with a Women for Mitt event.

  1. Go Mitt says:

As a registered Independent voter in the middle of democrat dominated S FL, I support Mitt Romney, as do the neighbors on my block.

This country is too divided under President obama. He has not brought this us together as a nation during this difficult time. It almost seems as he has divided this country further.
