Trey Radel Racks Up Another Endorsement

Congressional candidate Trey Radel has racked up another endorsement in advance of the Aug. 14 primary.

Personhood FL ProLife PAC on Friday announced it planned to endorse Radel, a Fort Myers Republican.

Bryan Longworth, the organization’s director, said the organization endorsed candidates “who have committed to protect all innocent human life.”

“It’s no longer sufficient to be against abortion in certain circumstances,” he said in a statement. “I encourage pro-life Florida voters to support these candidates with their votes, time and money.”

Radel said he was proud to be recognized for his “commitment to a culture of life.”

“If I am blessed with the opportunity to serve Southwest Florida, I will be a strong conservative voice in Washington, with a clear understanding that all life is precious” he said in a statement. “We must protect and defend those who cannot protect and defend themselves.”

Radel is one of six Republicans seeking their party’s nomination in the District 19 primary. The winner of the primary will go on to face Democrat Jim Roach in the Nov. 6 general election.
