Mitt Romney’s campaign is hoping to peel off a bit of President Obama’s support among Jewish voters with a new ad, entitled “Cherished Relationship.”
The ad, which includes footage of Romney visiting Israel last week, criticizes Obama for failing to visit Israel.
“Who shares your values?” the narrator says in the spot. “As president, Barack Obama has never visited Israel and refuses to recognize Jerusalem as its capital. Mitt Romney will be a different kind of president, a strong leader who stands behind our allies.”
The narrator also says the former Massachusetts governor “knows America holds a deep and cherished relationship with Israel.”
Last week, the conservative Emergency Committee for Israel went up with a similar spot attacking Obama for failing to declare Jerusalem the capital of Israel. The ad, which hit airwaves last week, is running in the Miami, Palm Beach, and Orlando markets.
