Rep. Connie Mack continues to amass Florida endorsements, announcing Monday that he’s received the support of Rep. Tom Rooney.
“I have known Connie Mack for 20 years, and I can tell you from years of working alongside him that he is a trusted, reliable conservative whom we desperately need in the U.S. Senate,” Rooney said in a release. “If we are going to turn this country around, reduce the size of government and return to our constitutional principles, Florida must elect Connie Mack to the U.S. Senate. I am proud to endorse my friend Connie.”
Following college, Rooney actually worked for Senator Connie Mack III, a fact Mack referenced in his campaign’s statement Monday. “I have known Tom Rooney since he worked for my father in the U.S. Senate, and even then he was a man of integrity whose dedication to public service was clear,” Mack said.
Last week, Mack nabbed the endorsements of Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam and former Gov. Jeb Bush.
