Freedom PAC, a group supporting Rep. Connie Mack’s (R-FL) Senate bid, is up with a new ad hitting Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) over the Keystone pipeline.
“President Obama said ‘no’ to the Keystone XL pipeline. That’s saying ‘no’ to lower gas prices, ‘no’ to more jobs, ‘no’ to greater energy security. Senator Bill Nelson chose to side with President Obama over the people of Florida,” the narrator says in the ad.
The ad, which notes Mack has a “long history of standing up for the ideals of freedom, prosperity and security,” includes images of Mack’s father and former Senator Connie Mack III (R-FL) .
Last week, Mack’s campaign launched a statewide radio spot hitting Nelson on the pipeline project. Mack, who has pushed for the construction of the pipeline for over a year, also recently launched a petition drive calling for the pipeline to be built.
